March exhibit

This month we have a KITE exhibit titled "Greek Heritage in the Heartland" and you're bound to learn something new and/or interesting about Greek immigrants who settled in Kansas and Missouri. KITE is the Kansas Interpretive Traveling Exhibits Program sponsored by the Kansas Historical Society and the Kansas Humanities Council.
Greeks once dominated the candy business in Kansas, thousands of Greeks helped lay branch rail lines in Kansas, and Greeks were also among those targeted by the KKK in the 1920s. "When two Greeks meet, they start a restaurant" was a popular quote as well. Stop in and see what Greeks have contributed to history and culture in Kansas.
